It's that time of year again - a chance to reflect on the past 12 months and all the developments that have taken place.
2022 has been an exciting year for Abyssale, with a host of new features and updates that have enhanced the platform and made it even more powerful and user-friendly. In this article, we'll take a look back at some of the most significant updates that were released in 2022, and how they've helped users work more efficiently and effectively. From new generation methods to improved design features and more, Abyssale has continued to push the boundaries of what's possible with creative automation. A global perspective on your data and activity
The team started the year by giving you a new perspective on your data and usage of Abyssale. At the top of the dashboard, you can now see a carrousel giving you information about the latest features and steps to create your first template. We also added some graphs with the number of successful generations, the consumed credits and consumed bandwidth according to your plan. Very useful to keep track and monitor your data usage. Below, your latest edited templates are displayed to make it faster for you to get work done!
And thanks to your feedbacks, we also completely redesigned the template overview. A lot of you found it quite complex to explore all the generation features of Abyssale so we decided to put everything on a single page. You now have a quick access to all the generation methods available for your template and also to all your Batch generation tasks, Image Forms and Dynamic Images linked to it.
New powerful generation methods…
One of the biggest feature of 2022 was the launch of the Video generation! We redesigned our builder, added a specific timeline and animation presets for you to easily create your marketing videos. You now have the possibility to generate videos in MP4 or GIF in multiple sizes at a time. You can use the following generation methods to generate your animated templates: Spreadsheet, Image Form, our REST API and Make and Zapier Integrations!
Our latest big feature in 2022 was the HTML5 banner generation! You are able to export your animated templates into an HTML5 zip file to create amazing dynamic ads. Perfect to generate HTML5 banners in minutes without coding! Simply design you banner and retrieve your zip file with all your assets integrated (images, logo, clicktag, text,…). It’s as simple as that!
At Abyssale, we love to give you tools to empower your team and allow them to design without any specific skills. That’s why we launched Image Form! This feature is perfect for creating visuals easily and even without an Abyssale account. Create an Image Form directly from your template, choose the layers that will be modified and share it with anyone! You can also embed it as an iFrame by adding the code to any your web page or app and allow anyone to generate images from your service.
…And import methods
We already had the .CSV import, the Airtable base import, but a powerful tool was clearly missing. Of course we’re talking about Notion! A lot of you have been asking about it, so here it is! You can now directly connect your Notion databases to the Abyssale Spreadsheet to import text, images, URL and much more…
More design features
All year long, we worked on improving the template builder and we added a ton of new design features and tools for you to get even more creative! Among these features, the QR code which is perfect to create interactive content for all your events and marketing material. Our design team also added new shapes and masks. So far, you could only use a rectangle, a circle and a triangle in your templates. Now, you can add a blob, a cloud, an arrow and much more! Same thing for our masks: we only had in stock a circle, a blob and a rounded corners mask. Good news, it's now possible to choose between 5 new ones!
Of course, new templates are added every week to get you inspired and to allow you to design your visuals faster. +100 designer made templates were added this year in various categories: Black Friday, Blogging, Event, Marketing, Christmas,… As always, you can find them in the Public Templates section.
Building a Discord community
Abyssale would be nothing without its community, which contributes every day to the development of the product but also to inspire more and more workflows to help you automate your marketing. Our Discord server is the perfect place to discuss marketing, automation, design and advertising. And we really encourage you to join and share even more tips, questions or suggestions with the rest of the Abyssale community, whether you're a user or not!
